Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Botany for the session 2020-2021 (12th batch) In the 1 st semester Master of Science (M.Sc.) there will be four theoretical courses (400 marks equivalent to 12 credits,) and one lab course (100 marks equivalent to 4 credits) for General group or one Research proposal (100 marks equivalent to 4 credits) for Thesis group carrying 16 credits (500 marks). Duration of final examination of each theoretical course will be 3 hours and for each lab course, there will be 6 hours. The course of study for M.Sc. degree in Botany is taught and the examinations is taken over one academic year splitted into two semesters namely 1st semester (July – December) and 2nd semester (January – June). The course of study is guided and assessed by the credit system. Duration of each semester is six months.

There are 12 courses (8 theoretical, 2 practical courses /2 Research proposal preparation and Dissertation/Thesis, 1 paper presentation and 1 viva-voce), carrying a total of 36 credits (8 credits for practical), 630 credit hours and 1100 marks.
