Md. Mamunur Rashid Sheikh obtained MSS in Social Work and BSS in Social Welfare from University of Dhaka with Graduate dissertation (Thesis) on "The Socio-economic Deprivation of the Child Worker: A Study in Dhaka City". He has been awarded Professor Ayesha Noman Memorial Gold Medal, 2010 for obtaining outstanding result in MSS.  Mr. Sheikh also obtained another degree of MSS in Social Welfare with Specialization in Victimology and Restorative Justice from the Institute of Social Welfare and Research, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His Research focuses on Crime, Victims, Victimization, Victim Support, Restorative Justice, Correctional Service, Gender Based Violence, Cyber Crime and Child Labour. Mr. Sheikh currently serves as Founding Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Society of Victimology and Restorative Justice. In 2009-2010, Sheikh served as President of Surjasen Bittarka Dhara (Surjasen Debate Forum) at the University of Dhaka.
