Biography of Dr. Shamsun Nahar
Dr. Shamsun Nahar is an Associate Professor of AIS Department in Jagannath University (JnU). She received her BBA and MBA degree from the department of Accounting & Information Systems (AIS), University of Dhaka (DU). She has completed her Ph.D in 2017 from Zhongnan University of Economics And Law (ZUEL), P.R.China under Chinese Government Scholarship Program. She has authored and co-authored a number of referred journals and conference papers. Moreover, she co-authored an accounting text book with her PhD supervisor which is now an accounting reference book in many universities in China. She teaches financial and managerial accounting, Taxation, Marketing, Accounting Research, etc. Her research interests include corporate Governance disclosure, credit risk and performance analysis of financial institutions, compliance of accounting standards by Bangladeshi organization, etc. She has also taught accounting courses at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
