Biography of Dr. Md. Kutub Uddin

Dr. Kutub Uddin is currently working as a Professor of Physics, Jagannath University. He achieved his Ph.D. degree in 2014 from the Department of Energy and Environment Engineering (EEE), Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan. During his Ph.D. study, he mainly focused on the development of adsorption cooling system, an alternative to the conventional air conditioning system. In 2016, he joined International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (I2CNER), Kyushu University as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for two years. He guided students working in both conventional vapor compression systems and adsorption cooling systems.

Now Dr. Uddin is collaborating his research work with Saha Laboratory, Kyushu University, Japan. Recently he is appointed as a Project Director, a project funded by the Ministry of Environement, Forest and Climate Change, Bangladesh.

Dr. Uddin graduated from the Department of Physics, Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. His M.Sc. thesis work explained the optical, electrical and semiconducting properties of CdO thin films prepared by spray pyrolysis method. In May, 2005, he joined Stamford University Bangladesh as a faculty. He also worked almost two years as a Scientific Officer at Secondary Standard Dosimetry Laboratory (SSDL), under the Division of Health Physics and Radioactive Waste Management, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (AERE, Savar).
