Biography of Nurunnahar Mazumder

Biographical Note:

Nurunnahar Mazumder has been involved in academia and research in the areas of Muslim and Hindu Law, Legal System of Bangladesh, Local Governance, Political Empowerment of Women, Equity and Trust, Company and Business Law, IPV and other areas of legal system and law since 2005. She joined as lecturer in the Department of law, Jagannath University in 2011 and got promoted to Assistant professor and Associate professor in 2013 and 2020 consecutively in the same department. Immediately after obtaining LLB (Hons.) and LLM from the University of Dhaka Mrs Nahar has joined as Lecturer in the Department of Law, World University Bangladesh in 2007 and in 2008 she has switched also as Lecturer to Stamford University, Bangladesh.  Currently she is pursuing Ph.D on “Political Empowerment of Women in Bangladesh: Democratic Governance, Gender Equality and Constitutional Reform” which will further enrich her research, academic and professional experience and knowledge. Nurunnahar has participated and contributed as young researcher and potential legal system of Bangladesh, women’s political empowerment and constitutional reform, IPV experts from Bangladesh in different international and national seminar, conference, workshop, symposium etc. Mrs Nahar has a large number of publications in national and international books, journals and periodicals.
