Biography of Md. Golam Mostofa Hasan

 

Md. Golam Mostofa Hasan is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law, Jagannath University. Before joining this department, he worked at the Department of Law, Northern University Bangladesh and University of Barisal. At the University of Barisal, he served as the Chairman of the Department. He completed LL.M. and LL.B. (Honours), with first class in both degrees from the Department of Law, University of Dhaka. He obtained GPA 5.00 in both S.S.C. and H.S.C. exams. He studied H.S.C. in Notre Dame College, Dhaka and S.S.C. in Nilmoniganj High School, Chuadanga. He has an inquisitive passion for legal research, particularly in international environmental law and environmental justice and governance, climate change law and national mechanisms, and law of civil procedure. He is currently teaching Laws of Civil Procedure, Laws on Interpretation of Statutes, and Environmental Laws. He has also taught Legal Research and Writing, Human Rights and Criminal Justice System, Law of Contract etc. He has a quite good record of participation in various extra-curricular activities. A few of them are moot court in national and international level, Summer School on Human Rights organized by ELCOP, Students Exchange Program in the USA, working as Trainer in Rohingya camps at Kutupalong, Cox's Bazar etc. He has traveled India, Hong Kong, and the USA. He likes reading books on literature and philosophy and also writes himself fiction, short stories and science fictions. 

Mr Md. Golam Mostofa Hasan has been the Program Director, Masters (Professional) Programme, for the year of 2019-20, and 2022-23 at the Department. He acted also as the Convenor of the Jagannath University Moot Court Society for the year of 2019-20 and 2020-21.
