Tanvir Ahammad

Tanvir Ahammad is currently a Lecturer of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jagannath University in Bangladesh since 14th January 2018 . Before joining at Jagannath University, he was a faculty member of Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dhaka International University from 11th September 2015 to 13th January 2018.

Tanvir Ahammad was born at Nabinagar in B.Baria, Bangladesh on August 12, 1990. He completed his S.S.C from Bitghar Radha-Nath High School in 2006 and H.S.C from Samsul Haq College in 2008. In 2015, he completed his BSc. in CSE from Jagannath University in Dhaka and he completed his MSc. at the same University in 2017.

He was an Undergraduate Research Fellow under the project of Re-Engineering of the Information Technology Research and Resource Center (ITRRC)-a project of HEQEP, UGC, GoB and World Bank (2011-2013), Jagannath University, Dhaka and recognized as “outstanding performance” for undergraduate research fellow activities. His research interests include Big Data Applications, Data Mining, Text Mining, Cloud Computing,  and Software Engineering.

Tanvir Ahammad aims to achieve an excellent academic career through quality research in one major computer science discipline. All his academic studies up to his Master’s have had great results with great success. He has been keenly interested in programming contests since undergrad. Tanvir was a UVA problem solver (solved: 52) and participated in ACM ICPC Asia Dhaka Regional, National, and Inter-university programming contests. He has published four journal papers and five conference papers. In addition, he obtained two research funds from Jagannath University Research Grant in the fiscal years 2019-2020 and 2021-2022. He also served as a Python and Artificial Intelligence trainer for the Department of Secondary and Higher Education under the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh from June 19-23, 2022.
