Shakil Ahmed is a lecturer in the Department of Land Management and Law at Jagannath University. He has completed his Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate respectively in the year 2007 and 2009. He did his LL.B (Honors) degree from Jagannath University in 2014 and completed his LL.M (Masters) Degree from the same institution in the year 2015. After completing his LL.B (Honours) and LL.M (Masters), he started working as a researcher in the Community Law Reform project run by Empowerment through Law of the Common People in short ELCOP, a renowned NGO working for the promotion and protection of human rights through legal aid and awareness activities. He served as a volunteer in the Centre for the study of Genocide and Justice which is established by the Liberation War Museum and in Empowerment through Law of the Common People, a renowned human rights organization. Shakil Ahmed joined as a lecturer in the department of land Management and Law at Jagannath University in July 2017. Before joining at Jagannath University, he worked as a lecturer in the department of law at East-West University (EWU) and Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) respectively from January 2017 to July 2017. He is very interested to flourish his knowledge on academic filed and his areas of interest cover the Constitutional Law of Bangladesh, Land Management of Bangladesh, Legal History, Human Rights, International Law, Humanitarian Law, and Procedural Law of Bangladesh. His recent teaching areas cover the Constitutional Law of Bangladesh, Jurisprudence, and Land Management System of Bangladesh.
