Biography of Shah Md. Azimul Ehsan

 

 

Shah Md. Azimul Ehsan is working as an Assistant Professor (On Study Leave) in the Department of Public Administration, at Jagannath University, Dhaka (Bangladesh). Before that, he served as a lecturer in the same department for around 3.5 years. Currently, he is pursuing his doctoral studies at the University of Edinburgh, UK as a ‘College of Arts, Humanities and Social Science’ Doctoral research fellow. His project is broadly looking into the area of crisis management from the lens of public administration and management with context to Bangladesh. 
 
Previously, he completed his second Master's, MSc in HRM (International Development) from the University of Manchester, UK with distinction under the auspices of the prestigious Commonwealth Masters Scholarship 2020. His Bachelor and Master’s degree (majoring in Public Administration) are from the University of Dhaka (Bangladesh) where demonstrated his academic excellence by topping his class. He has won a good number of awards for his academic achievements in the university among which winning the Prime Minister Gold Medal 2017 for securing the first position in the Social Science Faculty of the University of Dhaka is worth mentioning.
 
Shah is a patron of learning and has an immense passion for teaching and research. He has authored several journal articles and book chapters that have been published in different reputed peer-reviewed journals. As an interdisciplinary researcher and being in the academic arena, he aims to further develop his intellectual heights so that he can make a significant contribution both at the national and the global platforms. His areas of interest include but are not limited to local governance, public service management, crisis management, and human resource management.
