Biography of Juthi Biswas
Juthi Biswas, Lecturer, Department of Microbiology, Jagannath University, Dhaka, did her B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in Microbiology, from Dhaka University. During her M.Sc. program, she had the opportunity to work under the supervision of Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Ahsan. After successful completion of her Master degree, she joined Virology and Immunology Lab of Dhaka University as an research assistant. later, she started her carrier as a lecturer of Microbiology at Jagannath University . Apart from teaching, Juthi has been actively involved in research and affiliated with different microbiological and voluntary organizations including Graduate Microbiologist Society (GMS), Bangladesh Society of Microbiologists (BSM). She also served as an acting member of the scientific committee of BSM. Its core responsibility was to arrange seminars, symposiums, and workshops on different emerging microbiological issues. Her research area includes Host-Pathogen Interactions, Toxin characterization, Cell culture and immnunobiology. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at SUNY Upstate Medical University, USA.
