Journal Description

The Jagannath University Journal of Economics (JnUJE) publishes original research works from all fields of Economics, particularly those with an emphasis on the economy of Bangladesh. We also encourage research that compares the economic development in Bangladesh with that in other countries. All articles published in our journals are open access and freely available online at:

We follow a double-blind peer review procedure for article selection, which means that identities of both the reviewer and author are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

Manuscripts are initially screened for quality, content and relevance by a member of our Editorial Team. The manuscripts deemed suitable are then taken forward for double-blind peer review. Finally, the journal's Editorial Board considers the peer reviewers’ reports and makes the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication. Our aim is to achieve a time from submission to first decision of about three and a half months.
