Message from the Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Welcome to the Medical Centre

As-Salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh.

First, I would like to thank the honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Sadeka Halim, PhD, the Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir Chowdhury, the Registrar (Acting) Professor Dr. Md. Aynul Islam and all the well wishers of Jagannath University for their relentless continuous support from the very beginning which has brought out the best of our medical team and helped us to accomplish the comprehensive and holistic care which we have been providing.

In the Jagannath University Medical Centre, our team of doctors, nurses, medical assistants, physiotherapist and supporting staffs are working to provide emergency and primary care to the respected teachers, officers, staffs and students. Despite the lack of personnel and resources; we are committed to serve more than 20,000 people of the university. At present, we are treating more than 300 persons in a single day. Sometimes this reaches up to 500. In the last session 2022-23 we have treated about 25,662 patients from our centre.

We are well aware of the demands of our beloved students for a more involved care and to meet those demands, we are working with the authority to enrich ourselves in every possible ways. I would highly appreciate everyone’s co-operation in moving forwards.

I wish everyone a healthy and happy life.
