Biography of Dr. A H M Shafiullah Habib
About Me
After my B. Sc. Honours in Zoology at the University of Chittagong and M. Sc. in the same specialized in Limnology and Fisheries Biology with a thesis paper in fisheries biology, I have started my teaching job in 2001. I earned my Ph. D. degree in the same field i.e. on the biology of juvenile hilsa, the national fish of Bangladesh, from different waters around the country. I have joined in the prestigious job at Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) in 2005 under the Ministry of Education (MoE) and served there till 2009. After joining in this university in 2009, currently I am serving as Professor of the department especially in the field of fish and aquatic resources. My research interests are especially in the field of fish and fisheries biology emphasizing on the ecosystem as well.
