Biography of Shayer Mahmood Ibney Alam


I am an conservation cum evolutionary biologist, working primarily with ecological and genetic tools to address evolutionary and conservation problems. I have experience in the field and the laboratory, and I am looking for the next challenge to build my academic and research career.

I am experienced with teaching, research, project assistance and management in the field of Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation. Interested in Wildlife Ecology, Evolution and Conservation, Human-modified Ecosystems ( i. e. Impact of Development on wildlife) and Conservation Communication. At present, conducting PhD research on the sex-determination mechanisms in reptiles (specially lizards) on evolutionary (cytogenetical & Genomical) perspective. 

By Wildlife, I mean, "all animals (and plants) that grow independently of human, in their natural conditions".
