Biography of Dr. Morjina Khatun

 

 

Morjina Khatun, Ph.D., has been teaching philosophy at Jagannath University, Bangladesh since 2012. She gained her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India in philosophy with a thesis on “Re-Constructing the Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore” under the supervision of Dr. Bindu Puri, Professor and Former Chairman, Centre for Philosophy, Jawaharlal Nehru University. One of his Ph.D. thesis examiners was H. S. Prasad, Emeritus Professor, University of Delhi. She obtained Master’s from Jahangirnagar University. She also achieved her Honours degree in Philosophy from Jahangirnagar University with Prime Minister Gold Medal for highest grades in the Faculty of  Arts and Humanities in B.A.(Hons.) Examination in 2010. Dr. Khatun joined the philosophy department in 2012 and promoted as an assistant professor in 2015. Her research works have been published from various countries. Now she is also working as a guest teacher at Bangladesh Open University. She has attended national and international seminar and symposium and has delivered lectures at home and overseas Universities. Dr. Khatun has been serving as an external member, reviewer in various national academic journals and examiner of thesis in many universities.
