Biography of Dr. M. H. Mesbah Ahmed

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. M H Mesbah Ahmed is an associate professor in the department of Physics at Jagannath University. He specialises in soft X-ray synchrotron techniques and near ambient-pressure photoelectron spectroscopy. The subject of research is energy materials. He has conducted research in the MAX IV lab in Sweden and the SOLEIL synchrotron lab in Paris. In 2023, he received his doctorate from the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nottingham, UK.  The topic of the PhD thesis was soft X-ray core-level spectroscopy studies of molecules on TiO2 surfaces in the context of light harvesting.

Prior to joining Jagannath University, Dr. Ahmed served as a faculty member at Primeasia University, Bangladesh. He also worked as a Research Fellow at the Semiconductor Technology Research Centre, Faculty of Science, the University of Dhaka from 1st September 2012 to 31 December 2012.

Dr. Ahmed completed his undergraduate studies and earned his Master of Science degree from the Department of Physics, University of Dhaka. In his M.S. thesis, he studied the structural and magnetic properties of Zn-substituted Li ferrites.
