Sajal Halder is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jagannath University, Bangladesh since August 2017. Now, he is a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at RMIT University, Australia. He was a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jagannath University from July 2016 to August 2017. Prior to joining Jagannath University in 2016, he was a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University from October 2013 to July 2016. He was also a faculty member at Dhaka International University (DIU) from April to August 2011. He also served as a software developer of the Neighbor System Ltd, South Korea between 2011 and 2013.

Mr. Halder was born in Gopalganj, Bangladesh in 1988. He passed S.S.C from Naiarbari Bahumukhi High School, Gopalgnaj in 2003 and H.S.C from D. K. Ideal Syed Atahar Ali Academy and College, Madaripur in 2005. He received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and the Master of Engineering degrees in Computer Engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea in 2010 and 2013, respectively. He has published more than 19 papers in different prestigious journals and conferences. His research interests are Data Mining, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, POI  Recommendation  Systems,  and Trajectory Behavior Analysis.
