Biography of Riffat Farhana

Riffat holds a Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) and a Master of Social Science (MSS) in Public Administration from the Department of Public Administration at the University of Dhaka. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration at Jagannath University. Riffat holds her MPhil degree focusing on city governance at the University of Dhaka.

She has been acting as the coordinator of the curriculum development committee of both BSS (Hons) and MSS program of the department since 2020-21. Her academic interests are broad, reflected in the diverse range of courses she teaches at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, Sociology, Socio-Administrative Thoughts, Organizational Behavior, Development Administration, Governance, and Globalization. She also mentor undergraduate students on their monographs and provide academic supervision for postgraduate thesis dissertations. She has made contributions to the academic arena through her publications on e-governance and urban planning.
