Biography of Khandaker Tanvir Hossain
I have completed my Honours and Masters (with thesis) in Geography & Environment from University of Dhaka. I have conducted my thesis on Highway road accident of Bangladesh. Starting my career as a Teaching Assistant of GIS and Remote Sensing Lab of Geography Dept., University of Dhaka, now working as a faculty of newly started Jagannath University. Since 2006 I have been involved in several research project as a GIS professional. It was a great opportunity for me to work as a GIS analyst to prepare hazard and Risk map through CRA process in a project funded by CDMP of GoB that operated by Disaster Research Training and Management Centre (DRTMC), DU. My major interest is to implement the GIS and RS techniques in project planning, management . For Several years I worked as a professional GIS trainer. I worked as GIS/RS Analyst of Biodiversity Baseline Survey, Monitoring and Protected Area Establishment Plan of Padma Multipurpose Bridge Project (PMBP).
