Biography of Md. Jahid- Al- Mamun
Md. Jahid- Al- Mamun is an academician, currently serving as Lecturer of the Department of Land Management and Law at Jagannath University. Previously he served as Lecturer of the Department of Law at Eastern University and engaged with Eastern University Moot Court Society as a coach. He has completed his LLB Honours and LLM from the Department of Law, University of Dhaka. Recently, he has been awarded Prime Minister Gold Medal, 2018, and Barrister Nora Shariff Gold Medal, 2017 for his outstanding result. He served as an Editor at Dhaka Law Review, the first student-edited law journal of Bangladesh. He worked at the Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA) as a Researcher. As a student, Mr. Jahid participated in several moot court competitions including Monre E Price International Media Law Moot Court Competition- University of Oxford, 2019. He was awarded the Best Researcher Award, Best Memorial Award, Runner Up Award in several mooting competitions. As a young researcher, he has an interest in the field of Public International Law, International Economic Law, and Climate Change Law. He is currently pursuing his second master's in international law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva, Switzerland.
