Yasin Al Razi

Yasin Al Razi, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law at Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, has an impressive academic and professional record. He graduated with the highest CGPA in both his LLB (Honors) and LLM from Jagannath University, earning him the “Prime Minister Gold Medal 2016”. He also ranked 27th in the 10th Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) Examination and was appointed as an Assistant Judge at the Munshiganj Judge Court on 15 February 2018. However, he chose to pursue his passion for teaching and remained a faculty member at the Department of Law, Jagannath University.

He is also a registered legal practitioner under the Bangladesh Legal Practitioner’s and Bar Council Order 1972 and a member of the prestigious Dhaka Bar Association. However, he does not practice law actively as he is dedicated to his academic career.

He has participated in several training programs and competitions related to human rights, international trade law, and international humanitarian law. He attended the 17th Human Rights Summer School (HRSS) organized by ELCOP, the “Training Program on WTO Antidumping Agreement and Regional Perspective” of 2018, organized jointly by the Center for Microfinance and Development of the University of Dhaka and the Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh, and the “11th National Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition 2015” organized jointly by the AsianSIL Bangladesh and the ICRC.

His research interests include jurisprudence, constitutional law, legal philosophy, criminal law, international law, and good governance and politics. In his free time, he likes to read fiction and non-fiction.
