Professor Dr. Md. Rais Uddin serves as the Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University, Dhaka, bringing more than two and a half decades of distinguished teaching, research and academic leadership. A Professor in the Department of Islamic Studies since 2010, he has held pivotal administrative roles including Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Chairman of his department, and has contributed extensively to scholarship in Islamic Studies, Arabic literature, jurisprudence and comparative philosophy — with 27 research articles and six books to his name.
