Biography of Dr. Md. Asraful Alam
Mr. Alam obtained his doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Communication from Chonnam National University, South Korea.
He studied journalism, Technology & Democracy at Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Communication of Arizona State University (ASU), USA under the 2022 scholars' program of the Studies of the United States Institutes (SUSI). He completed an intensive master's programme in ‘Media Studies’ from the University of Oslo, Norway under the International Summer School (ISS) Scholarship offered by the Norwegian Government.
Earlier, he completed a four-year bachelor and a Master’s degree with distinction majoring in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Now, he is working as a faculty in the department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Jagannath University, Dhaka since 2009.
Prior to engaging in teaching, he gathered journalism experiences working for a diverse range of media outlets.
