i) Teaching Experience: (Total about 23 years)
a) Presently working as a Professor (since 5th July 2008) in the Social Work Department of Jagannath University, Dhaka-1100, Bangladesh.
b) Near about 13 and a half years teaching experience in the Department of Social Work of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet (Lecturer to Professor).
c) One year teaching experience as a Lecturer in the Department. of Social Welfare, Tejgohn University College, Dhaka (From 1st February 1994 to 3rd February 1995).

ii) Administrative & Organizational Experiences:
i) Worked as the Dean, Faculty of Social Science, Jagannath University since Januarry 2012 to January 2014 and played important role as member of the different selection committee, coordination and managerial aspects of the University.
ii) Worked as the Chairman of D Unit Admission Committee for 2012-13 & 2013-14 session.
iii) Worked as the Member of the Syndicate- the apex forum that governs the Jagannath University since September 2012 to January 2014.
iv) Worked as the Chairman, Department of Social Work, Jagannath University since March 2010 to January 2012.
v) Worked about one year as the founder Chairman of the Department of Anthropology, Jagannath University since October 2008 to October 2009.
vi) Worked as the Head of the Anthropology Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet from 11 March 2008 to 3 July 2008.
viii) Worked as the Head of the Department of Social Work in the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet from 13 September 2007 to 11 March 2008.
ix) Worked as the acting Head of the Department (Social Work) from 04-6-1998 to 10-3-1999 in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet.
x) Performed the responsibility of Office Manager of a Nation-wide research project namely Rapid Assessment of the Child Labour Situation in Bangladesh, in Dhaka (Jointly sponsored by ILO and UNICEF in collaboration with ACPR, ICDDR’B, Ministry of Labour of GOB and the BBS) for 6 months in 1994-95.
xi) Worked as the Asst. Provost for the Second Male Students’ Hall of SUST, Sylhet since March 2004 to March 2008.
xii) Performed effective role as a member of the Academic Council of SUST as an elected (by the Teachers) member for June 2005 to May 2007 and as Head of Social Work and Anthropology Departments in different times.
xiii) Performed important role as the Member of the Central Admission Committees since 2005 both in SUST and JnU.
xiv) Performed important role as the Member of the Sellection Committees (for Lecturer and Assistant Professor) since 2005 both in SUST and Jagannath University as Head/Chairman of departments and as Dean of a faculty.
