Professor Dr. Kazi Saifuddin is presently holding a post as Vice Chancellor of the "Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Pirojpur" (www.bsmrstup.ac.bd) in the southern district of Pirojpur form September, 2022.
Professor Dr. Kazi Saifuddin was a Dean of the Faculty of Life and Earth Sciences, Chairman of the Department of Psychology, and Syndicate Member of Jaganath University, Dhaka. He received B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. (1990) degree from the Department of Psychology, University of Rajshahi with distinctions. Then he received Ph.D. (2001) in the field of Architectural Psychoacoustics from the Department of Environmental Planning, Division of Global Development Science, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kobe University, Japan.
Dr. Saifuddin a renowned Environmental, Health, Clinical, Terrorism, Neuroscience Psychologist worked as a Visiting Research Fellow: University of Cambridge (UK), University of Lancaster (UK), University of Tokushima (Japan), Hanyang University (South Korea). He also worked in the World Famous Human Engineering Lab., Mitsubishi Company, Amagasaki, Japan and Wave Engineering & Virtual World Lab., Nara Science City, Japan as parts of Ph.D. research.
Dr. Saifuddin’s PhD thesis has been acknowledged by the ADS (Astrophysical Data System) of NASA, USA. He has published 51 research articles, 30 Books, 32 Conference proceedings, 20 Funded Research Projects and many general articles. His research articles are published in the Elsevier, Academic Press, Acoustical Society of America, Journal of Human Ergology (Japan), Vesnic (Russia), etc. He presented his work in so many conferences/symposiums in New York (USA), Chicago (USA), Moscow (Russia), Kobe (Japan), Osaka (Japan), Akdeniz (Turkey), Luneburg (Germany), Kualalampur (Malaysia), Seoul (S. Korea), Lancaster (UK), Stockholm (Sweden), Hong Kong, Dhaka, etc.
Professor Saifuddin received the Best Scientist Award in the International Conference on Advances of Electrical, Electronic and System Engineering, 2016, Malaysia, (University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) & International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy. He visited 20 countries and 40 Universities abroad. Dr Saifuddin's Lab has been acknowledged and appeared in the web-map of the TRF Timing Lab Database.
Dr. Saifuddin holds the post of the Founder Editor-in-Chief of the Jagannath University Journal of Psychology and total holding around 9 Editorial positions in different institutional journals (Editor in Chief), Jagannath University Journal of Life and Earth Sciences). From the beginning of his professional life he was a Civil Servant (Education Cadre) and served as different academic positions in some famous Colleges (Rajshahi College, Jagannath College, Eden College, Badrunnesa College, Sylhet MC College, Ideal College).
Professor Dr. Kazi Saifuddin holds the posts: President (2016), General Secretary (2012), Member Secretary (2008-11) and Executive Member (2015) of the Jagannath University Teachers Association. Member of Bishabidyaloy Parishad. He also hold the posts as Vice-President and Treasurer of Bangladesh Psychological Association, Treasurer of South Asian Psychological Association, Presidium Member of Amra Muktijodhar Shantan, President and General Secretary of Corruption Prevention Committee (Dhaka South), and more involvement with Acoustical Society of America (USA), International Society for Psychophysics (Germany), International Association for the Philosophy of Time (France), Timing Research Forum (Germany), Centre for Asia Pacific Exchange (Honolulu, USA), Tokushima International Association (Japan), YMCA (Kobe, Japan), Centre for Community Development and Research (UK), IEEE (Malaysia), Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, Bangla Academy, Bangladesh Clinical Psychological Association, Bangladesh Environment Movement (BAPA), Bangladesh Rover Scout Leader, Integrated Development and Research Foundation (Dhaka), Japanese University Alumni Association Bangladesh.
