Rafea Khatun is a Assistant Professor in the Department of Land Management and Law at Jagannath University. She has completed her Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary School Certificate respectively in the year 2003 and 2005. She did her LL.B. ( Hon's) in 2010 and LL.M.(Master of Laws) in 2012.In both of the LL.B. and LL.M. she obtained First Class sixth position.After completing the LL.M. (Master of Laws), she joined as a lecturer in the University of Information,Technology & Sciences (UITS) and served there for one year and nine months.After that she joined as an Assistant Judge in the Jamalpur District Judge Court and served there for eight months.Next she again came back to academia and joined in the Department of Law,UITS and served there for three years.Then she joined as a lecturer in the Department of Law at East West University and served there for two years and six months. At present, she is working as a a lecturer in the Department of Land Management and Law,under the Faculty of Law, Jagannath University.She is also a member of Supreme Court Bar Association, Dhaka,Bangladesh. She has attended many national and three international conferences.She is inetrested both in research activities and practical uses of laws and her areas of interest are Family Law issues, Huamn Rights Law, Land Laws and Environmental Laws.
