Biography of Dr. H M Saidur Rahaman, PhD (University of Leuven, Belgium)
Dr. H M Saidur Rahaman obtained his PhD in Organizational Psychology from the University of Leuven, Belgium—a prestigious university ranked consistently amongst the Top 50 Universities in the World (According to Times Higher Education Ranking and U.S.News Ranking). He is the recipient of a prestigious IRO scholarship to pursue his PhD. Before starting his PhD, he also worked as a Visiting Scholar at the same university by getting a competetive grant from the Flemish Government. He obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Psychology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dr. Rahaman is currently working as an Associate Professor in this department. To his credit, he publishes papers in internationally regarded journals (i.e., have Impact Factor and indexed in SCOPUS) such as the International Journal of Hospitality Management, Applied Psychology: An International Review, Personnel Review, Leadership & Organization Development Journal, Europe's Journal of Psychology, and Journal of Managerial Psychology, among others. He regularly does and receives invitations for ad-hoc reviews for esteemed scholarly journals. He has been working on many joint research projects with colleagues from around the globe (e.g., USA, UK, Australia, China, UAE, Qatar). He also received a 'Top Cited Article 2022-2023' award from Wiley for his publication in Applied Psychology: An International Review.
His research interests revolve around leadership and positive organizational scholarship. But, these days, he is also interested in focusing on productivity and well-being through the lens of the principles and practices of mental health. He teaches Research Methods, I/O Psychology, and HRM courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dr. Rahaman is also readily available to share his knowledge and expertise with the organizations to help them transform from better to outstanding.
