Biography of Mahmuda Amir Eva

Mahmuda Amir Eva is serving as a Lecturer at the Department of Law, Jagannath University. Ms Eva graduated from Jagannath University with impressive academic achievements both in LLB (Honors) and LLM. In recognition of her highest CGPA obtained in LLB (Honors) from the Faculty of Law, she has been nominated for the prestigious "Prime Minister Gold Medal Award 2019" and received the "UGC Merit Scholarship 2019". 

Ms Eva has always been passionate about academic career which influenced her participation in several national and international training programs and competitions relating to human rights, international humanitarian law, intellectual property law and others. She participated in Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition for two times in a row and was qualified for the 2nd ICC KLRCA Pre-moot, Kualalmpur, Malaysia for the outstanding performance in Jessup Moot. She was a priviledged participant in 19th Human Rights Summer School organized by ELCOP and  now, she is a "Resident Instructor" of the same program held every year. She had the honour to represent team Bangladesh for the first time in the prestigious "Concours Jean Pictet Competition", a simulation training-based competition held in Denpasar, Indonesia where she received training on negotiation with different stakeholders such as ICRC delegates, ministers, armed forces regarding IHL related policy formulation process. She also received youth leadership training from Brtitish Council to facilitate "Social Action Project" in the community. 

Ms Eva has proven herself efficient in organizing and leadership skills. She has been associated with Jagannath University Moot Court Society, NILS Bangladesh, Jessup Bangladesh and under their ageis, she aptly conducted various seminars and workshops.

As an academic, she is enthusiast in research and legal writing. She received training from Centre for Social Science Research and Training (CSRT), Jagannath University under the title of "Advanced Training on Research Methodology". In addition, she regularly shares her opinion in blogs and dailies in contemporary legal issues.

Her research interest includes intellectual property law, international trade law, international human rights law, international humanitarian law and environmental law.
