Mst. Shirin Sultana has been teaching sociology at Jagannath University, Dhaka, Bangladesh since 1st January, 2017. Before joining here, she was a faculty member of Sociology Department of Barishal University, Bangladesh from 27th April, 2014. Before this she had recceived her Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) and Master of Social Science (MSS) from Department of Sociology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh with excellent result.
In line with research experiences, she has several peer reviewed publications and project reports along with a proceeding on globalization, women’s leadership, rural-urban interaction, global terrorism, social media and public opinion formation. Moreover, she has keen interest to explore the relationship between globalization and rural changes, poverty of developed and developing countries, malnutrition problem and living style of rural folk of Bangladesh by applying sociological insights with a view to satisfy her academic desire.
