Biographical Note

Marjia Rahman has completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) in 2015 and Master of Social Sciences (MSS) in 2016 in Sociology from Jagannath University, Dhaka with advanced research monograph on ‘Living with Water Pollution: An Explorative Study on Drivers, Outcomes and Adaptation Mechanisms of Affected Dwellers of Buriganga River in Urban Dhaka.’ Additionally, in 2017, she was awarded with ‘Prime Minister Gold Medal-2015’ for her academic excellence. She started her carrier as a lecturer in Lalmatia Mohila College. Later, in 2017, she has joined as a faculty in the Department of Sociology at Jagannath University and still working there. She has been teaching several courses such as Sociology of Environment, Population and Development, Gender and Development, Contemporary Bangladesh Society and Culture, Social Structure of Bangladesh in the Department of Sociology, Jagannath University
