Research Experience

1.   Modification of electrode surfaces with nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes, gold nanoparticles (NPs), platinum NPs, palladium NPs, iridium oxide NPs or hybrid nanomaterials to use as working electrode or reference electrode in electrochemical/ bio-sensors.

2.  Modification of electrode surfaces with antibiofouling molecules (e.g. polyethylene glycol (PEG)-silane copolymer) to remove nonspecific binding of labeled molecules, which is an important issue to fabricate sensitive biosensor.

3.    Finding good enzymatic substrate and product couple for the bare or nanomaterials-modified electrode to fabricate enzyme-based highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor.

4.      Development of nanocatalyst labeled electrochemical biosensors and artificial enzyme type colorimetric biosensor.

5.      Fabrication of amperometric biosensor using patterned electrodes and microfluidic devices.

6.  Finding good redox cycling agents (e.g. TCEP, NaBH4 or hydrazine) for signal amplification during the electrochemical oxidation/reduction by chemically reduction/oxidation simultaneously to get low detection limit in electrochemical/bio-sensors.

7.      Design and developing of lateral flow immunoassay based electrochemical biosensor for cardiac troponin I biomarker detection.

8.      Synthesis, separation and purification of different bioactive complex used as a drug in biological system.
