This is a place for inquisitive students, faculty members, and scholars who wish to study and investigate socio-economic factors and situations affecting individual, group and community life. Our graduate program teaches students to think analytically about our socity, its structure, and its organization. According to a recent inspection, our graduates overwhelming attribute professional and occupational success to their experiences as Social Work students. By virtue of their sociological training and learning, students find they have a broad array of post-grauate opportunities.

This Department offers four programmes—Undergraduate, Graduate, MPhil and PhD—and an academic environment conducive for the intellectual and scholarly development of the students and researchers. A rich resource center, highly motivated and qualified faculty members, and good interpersonal relationships among students, faculty members and support staff have made this department a unique place of study and one of the mostly preferred educational destinations for the students and faculty members.
